This summer we spotted some forgotten classic cars while spending a few days around Agia Galini and Matala at the south coast of the Greek island Crete.
The Citroen 2CV is situated across the street of a free gas station just out of Agia Galini. In Germany, a re-wording of the traditional French brand name from Citroën to Zitrön is currently being introduced. The respective clip was a witty PR gag.
The VW Beetles, the Nissan 1200 PickUp and the Landy – all of which are still in daily use – crossed our path on our way to the reknowned hippie community Matala.
Both towns are full of art loving people. There are plenty of authentic restaurants and ambient places like the cave rock in Matala.
